The Inventory Control Clerk ensures that production materials, including raw material and finished goods, are available to meet production schedules at Flowserve’s Quick Response Center in Ashland, KY. The Quick Response Center repairs and machines components for mechanical seals used in industrial settings, such as oil refineries and chemical processing plants.
Procure finished goods and raw materials, such as steel, o-rings, and carbon facings, to meet production schedules.
Resolve problems with the right level of initiative, collaboration, professionalism, and perseverance to satisfy requests while following procedures. Help find alternative options for supplying unavailable products and services.
Provide frontline response to Application Engineers located at our customers’ sites, for emergency and standard procurement of parts.
Conduct daily cycle counts, and investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies to ensure ongoing inventory accuracy.
Communicate parts status and issues with the operations, shipping/receiving, engineering, and customer support to support production schedules and customer commitments.
Monitor daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on material availability to ensure system accuracy and integrity.
Responsible for scheduling work on the shop floor to maintain balance between supply and demand in support of monthly forecast of manufacturing hours.
Responsible for making sourcing decisions on a daily basis to ensure compliance to organizational financial objectives while meeting customer delivery expectations.
Will serve as cross-functional Customer Service support during peak times or when business necessitates.

High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum 5 years relevant experience, such as warehouse work or inventory management
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Detail-oriented with a demonstrated track record of accuracy in pulling data, entering data, and creating reports
Must have good math skills to sort, check, count and verify numbers
Experience in positions that required personal ownership to complete tasks, investigate problems, and resolve issues with minimal supervision and an upbeat attitude
Good organizational skills, able to establish and change priorities based on demands.
Must be able to clearly report and explain information to others with a professional style that has a positive impact on the team
Demonstrated track record of steady, reliable work ethic and attendance. Must be able to work overtime as required
Must be able to lift and push large heavy objects up to 25 lbs.
Must have full mobility to lift from floor and move parts to shelves.
IBM PRMS experience is highly desired
Customer Service experience in manufacturing environment is a plu
Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel including experience with pivot charts, graphing, data analysis is preferred
