Position Description:

The Precision Assembler is responsible for disassembly, clean-up, inspection, and re-assembly of new and repaired seals. This position will be responsible for receiving and properly tagging incoming repairs. This position is also responsible for completing associated paperwork and computer orders associated with each task. This role utilizes hand tools, small power tools and other special equipment to perform the assigned job. Utilize to technical drawings and written / oral directions.

Job Functions:

  • Safely disassemble, clean, inspect and re-assemble seals to engineering standards while maintaining quality specifications.

  • Ability to follow work instructions to include engineering specs, prints, and quality documents.

  • Select and safely utilize appropriate tools.

  • Daily use of torque tightening equipment and manual dexterity is required.

  • Follow all tagging procedures.

  • Communicate findings to team and document in tracking (PRMS) system.

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to assemble various size components is required.

  • Will be required to work with other support departments.

  • Perform necessary housekeeping and safety duties as required. Ability to lift parts up to 50 pounds as required. Lifting, bending, twisting of shoulders and use of arms in an outreaching position is required. Standing and walking throughout the work area is required.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.Perform all other duties as assigned.

Work schedule is day shift, Monday-Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm. Must also be able to work overtime as needed.

Position Requirements:


High school diploma or GED is required


· 1-2 years’ mechanical assembly · Must have strong mechanical aptitude

· Ability to work overtime as required

· Able to read, write, and interpret drawings, manuals, prints, and instructions

· Strong computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft office applications

· Strong computer skills to include proficiency in ERP systems (PRMS, ORACLE or SAP)
