HR Director, Talent Solutions Business Partners are responsible for influencing the Senior Management Committee, Platform Presidents and large-scope functional VPs (senior leadership) on the design and execution of specific operational/functional strategies to achieve corporate goals. The HR Director, Talent Solutions Business Partner will work with senior leaders to develop and implement strategies by addressing the associated talent challenges, ensuring capability and continuity of leaders for senior positions, and defining, auditing, and creating organizational capabilities required for sustainable organizational success.


Business Leader

  • Maintain a total Flowserve perspective at all times with a primary emphasis on people.

  • Act and engage as a member of Flowserve leadership. - Partner with senior leaders in short and long term strategic planning and contribute and have accountability with senior leaders for the results of the organization.

  • Understand the business, finances, market influencers to ensure personal credibility and ability to influence and add value to the bottom line.

  • Establish strong relationships with all key stakeholders and clients within the matrix organization.

Business Partner

  • Proactively develop recommendations for accelerating measurable business performance via specific leverage of people systems and leadership practices.

  • Know the leadership team, its operating context, the finances, the market influencers, and the talent, both internal and external, and use data analysis to identify trends and cultural issues then make recommendations which positively impact the business.

  • Partner with the HRLT to develop a strategic HR vision and play a leadership role in the communication and implementation of the overall strategy and near term strategic priorities to key stakeholders

Strategic Talent Leader

  • Lead the annual Strategic Leadership Planning and Strategic Workforce Planning processes to determine and prioritize the leadership and organizational capabilities and structures needed to achieve business strategy and near term business priorities (right roles, right people, right time, and right investment).

  • Develop and achieve annual execution plans, including headcount plans, at the platform/global function and site levels using the Talent Cycle framework.

  • Influence the annual Talent Cycle program development priorities

Leadership Coach

  • Coach and advise senior leaders to develop individual and team competencies and behaviors needed to achieve the current and future business objectives and long term competitive advantage.

  • Hold leaders accountable to ensure that individuals enter, move up, across, or out of the organization in a way that benefits the team as well as the organization as a whole and achieves strategic talent priorities.

  • Influence business leadership to promote talent differentiation throughout the organization while ensuring timely and candid performance feedback to employees.

Culture and Change Management

  • Guide leadership team to define and explicitly link culture change targets to achieve measurable business impact, including identification of high impact behaviors at leadership and performer levels.

  • Align formal and informal consequences to accelerate and sustain culture change gains.

  • Understand and plan for change in all projects and know how to gain commitment for change.

  • Be a role model for positive cultural attitude

HR Expert

  • Be a leader among peers.

  • Develop an HR team culture where initiative thrives, accountability is owned and team members are fully engaged. Collectively drive the HR agenda for a one Flowserve approach through team collaboration.

  • Share and leverage best practices that can be applied on a broader scale for greater impact.

  • Utilize data analytics to identify talent opportunities, develop plans, and make recommendations that support and empower the business.

  • Leverage internal and, when appropriate, external resources to upskill self and leadership teams.

  • Collaborate with region HR Directors in regards to advancing the Talent Solutions Business Partner initiatives..

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of Human Resources experience and a minimum of 5 years at the H.R. management level; or the equivalent in education and experience.

  • Possesses experience and knowledge in both functional and strategic aspects of Human Resources such as talent management, organizational design, reward and recognition, leadership development and workforce planning.

  • Demonstrates strong data analysis and interpretation skills.

  • Understands the complexities of a global HR service delivery model.
