Flowserve Corporation Training Specialist in Irving, Texas

Reporting to the Educational Services Dallas Training Manager and located at the Dallas Learning Resource Center, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivery of technical training programs within the North American region for both Flowserve associates and customers. They will manage all metrics, desired outcomes, evaluations and feedback. They will establish common processes and methodologies to ensure the effectiveness of high quality program delivery.
Training programs will be delivered at Flowserve facilities and/or at customer's location within the region. Technical training programs focus on operation, maintenance, and reliability of centrifugal pumps, mechanical seals, and systems.
The Training Specialist will be responsible for the following key accountabilities;
Facilitate training courses and programs in the field of centrifugal pumps and mechanical seals operation, maintenance and trouble shooting• Deliver various combinations of classroom and hands-on instruction.
Support the development of the training curriculum based on the outcome of the knowledge and skills assessments and assist in the development of training materials and documents.
Act as a subject matter expert for the materials development group when required.
Establish and maintain close working relationships with other internal departments and functions to promote the best interests of Flowserve Corporation.
Continuously monitor progress and provide regular feedback to customer and Flowserve training group
Work closely with management to define and agree on program updates and improvements if required
A bachelor’s degree in engineering with five years of experience within a relevant industry or ten years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining rotating equipment within a relevant industry
Experience with the design, operations, and troubleshooting of mechanical seals is a plus.
Must have a passion for teaching and working with people
Excellent communication and public speaking skills and a high standard of written and spoken English.
Strong PC skills and experience with Microsoft Office
The position will be located at the Dallas Learning Resource Center
Willing to travel 50%
