Design mechanical seal support systems to meet customer specifications, industry standards and international codes.
Consult with fellow Flowserve engineering and non-engineering associates to solve complex design and/or manufacturing problems.
Negotiate changes to scope/job requirements with consideration to safety, design quality, cost, profitability and delivery.
Source, evaluate, and specify manufactured and purchased components for system fabrication.
Instruct/guide design team in the production of drawings, BOM's, and supporting document for the manufacture, testing, installation, operation and support of mechanical seal auxiliary systems.
Contribute expertise to global standardization efforts.
Participate in plant continuous improvement efforts
Effectively manage an ongoing queue of multiple projects with consideration to quality and on-time delivery.
Provide responsive and customer-centric support to both internal and external stakeholders.
Establish communication and collaboration as the standard for yourself and your peers.

B.S. or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related engineering discipline
Strong background in hydraulic systems design and function; experience with API and ASME codes preferred.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and computer skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong planning, time management and organizational skills; able to succeed in a collaborative environment while establishing and executing on priorities that include multiple projects, support requests and CIP initiatives
Strong personnel development and mentoring skills
Ability to focus on long term goals and to identify and produce deliverables aligned with business objectives
Strong focus on customer service
3-5 years of industrial experience preferred.
