Planning, coordinating the order acquisition and order fulfillment activities within the Woodbridge PMC. Demonstrate ownership and accountability for order acquisition and fulfillment activities within assigned teams. Responsible for managing production control planning activities for a Flowserve Woodbridge PMC division. Production control planning responsibilities at the Woodbridge division include :
Actively participating in orders shipments forecast process on a regular basis.
Schedule, manage and maintain an accurate planned backlog of all hardware and non-inventory items at all times which accounts for all constraining factors and that can be used to accurately forecast schedule shipments.
Direct production priorities to ensure schedule adherence to (the customer required and planned promise) backlog requirements and to ensure that established shipments forecasts are achieved on a regular basis.
Ensuring timely release and close-out of shop floor production work orders.
Collaborating with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure the timely release and proper prioritization of needed routings to support the monthly and quarterly shipments forecasts.
Develop and implement plans to efficiently use materials, labour and equipment to meet promised ship dates.
Develop production schedules and maintain the inventory of customer buffer/safety stock.
Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts and assemblies through departments according to production and promised delivery dates.
Reviews production schedules and related information to determine that each multiple milestones are met.
High level of collaboration and interaction with outside sales force.
Experience working with customers in the oil and gas, power, and chemical industries
Able to interpret industry standards, technical drawings, and manufacturing procedures.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and paperwork
Clear and positive verbal and written communication skills
Good organizational skills, able to establish priorities and complete a high volume of work to specific deadlines
Strong working knowledge of engineering principles as well as materials management with an emphasis on shop floor scheduling.
High energy level and a strong work ethic, with the ability to instill these characteristics in others.
Working closely as a team with Manufacturing to help set priorities and minimize capacity constraints.
Effectively and positively collaborating with all other cross functional support departments as required to maintain schedule adherence for planned shipments.
Supporting inventory management tasks, transactions and cycle and physical inventory counts as required.
Supporting sales to achieve timely quotation and bookings goals with accurate delivery estimates needed to secure potential new business
Actively seek cost and lead-time reductions through principles of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement process.
Work with Purchasing to insure that parts and materials are available as needed during the production process
Proven ability to pursue the optimal balance of quality, delivery, and cost in all activities to ensure on-time delivery and maximize profitability of the company.
Bachelor's degree in related field in Engineering or Business from an accredited university or equivalent experience in production planning and scheduling. An equivalent combination of years of experience and industry knowledge is acceptable
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) plus years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in supply chain, operations, purchasing, planning, materials management, customer service, engineering, product management is preferred.
The individual must be well organized and a highly motivated team player.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across organizational boundaries.
Must project a collaborative, result-oriented approach to completing day to day tasks.
Must be able to resolve conflict and deal diplomatically with vendors, managers and customers
Possess the ability to project a positive attitude in a fast paced, high pressure environment
Experience working with ERP/MRP systems in manufacturing environment is required. Oracle a plus.
Familiar with capacity planning, forecasting and work scheduling High degree of initiative and ownership
Able to work extended hours and weekends as required.
Must have strong computer skills in Microsoft Office
Experience with castings and machined parts is preferred.
Strong cost center management experience as part of their respective operational responsibilities and have a solid track record in providing positive results is preferred
